Refeci agrees to provide the utmost care in the services we provide and to treat every item we receive as if it was our own. Refeci holds Tradesmen Liability Insurance, copies of which can be provided upon request. 

Access to and use of the Refeci website, www.refecicare.com, is governed by the terms of use (terms of use) set forth below, as well as any applicable laws, statutes, ordinances and regulations. By accessing this site, you agree to be bound by the terms of use. If you do not agree to the terms of use, please do not use this site. Each time you visit the site, the current version of the terms of use will apply. Accordingly, when you use the site, you should check the date of the terms of use (which appears at the top) and review any changes since the last version

Refeci cannot assume responsibility for underlying defects in materials that are not obvious or visible prior to servicing. 

 

Cleaning

  1. Complete stain removal is not guaranteed.
  2. Deep Stain removal requested by customers will be carried out at the customers’ own risk.
  3. Cleaning may cause materials to become soft, stiff, brittle, or develop buckling and peeling.
  4. Shrinkage can occur and is unpredictable.
  5. Changes in color or finish may happen.
  6. Natural flaws like insect bites and scars may become visible post-cleaning.
  7. Lines and breaks in the skin may become more prominent.
  8. Differences in leather tone may appear more noticeable after treatment.
  9. Color bleeding from materials or hardware may stain adjacent surfaces.
  10. Polishing or touch-up work may transfer color onto clothing with friction.
  11. Successful treatment cannot always be guaranteed for deeply stained or heavily soiled items.

Dyeing

  1. Structural imperfections may be more noticeable after dyeing.
  2. Identical Color Matches are not always guaranteed.
  3. Color may appear differently in various lighting conditions.
  4. Bows, pleats, rhinestones, and other embellishments may not dye uniformly.
  5. Dyed items may bleed if exposed to water or heat.
  6. Cowhide material that has severe degradation may become damaged during some treatments, requesting treatment to Cowhide in such conditions is at the customer’s own risk.

Shoe Repair

  1. May result in wrinkling, buckling, or peeling.
  2. Color or finish may slightly change.
  3. Width stretching does not guarantee added length.
  4. Insoles or lining may be affected.

General Repairs/Restoration (Shoes, Bags, Accessories, Garments and more)

  1. All work is final sale and cannot be reversed.
  2. Refeci cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of personal belongings left in the owner’s item – please check your belongings carefully prior to servicing.

 

  1. Estimated completion times are not guaranteed. If parts/supplies are required, timeline of completion will depend on suppliers’ availability
  2. While we aim to restore items as closely as possible to their original condition, some limitations may apply depending on the item’s condition. Refeci agrees to provide the utmost care and services to ensure the best results for each item.
  3. Customers must thoroughly inspect their serviced item upon receiving and notify Refeci within 48 hours of any complaints, we cannot be held responsible for any later complaints.
  4. Refeci liability for any loss or damage to customer’s item(s) shall not exceed two (2) times our charge for servicing it.
  5. Refeci holds the right to decline any customer or service.
  6. Photographs are used on all items for before and after service comparisons and are mandatory to protect both parties.
  7. Refeci holds the right to amend the Terms and Conditions occasionally without prior notice.
  8. Damage to material that was covered or concealed during the original manufacturing process may become revealed during treatment, in this case Refeci cannot be held responsible.

 

Storage & Unclaimed Items

  1. Items will be moved to storage—at a rate of $50 per month—if:
    A) One (1) month has passed since a restoration plan was provided without a response or payment, or
    B) One (1) month has passed since the customer was notified the item is ready for pick-up.
  2. Items may remain in storage for up to six (6) months. After that period, unclaimed items may be discarded at Refeci’s discretion.

Returns & Refunds

  1. All services (repairs, cleaning, alterations, dyeing, stretching) are final sale. No refunds.
  2. Customers must verify their receipt upon issue; discrepancies must be reported within 24 hours.
  3. Personalized items are non-refundable and non-returnable.
  4. Items returned for re-stretching must be brought back within two weeks of pickup.

Payments

  1. Full payment is required before services begin.
  2. Specialty services (e.g., part replication, dyeing, rushed services, special part orders,) must be paid in full upfront.

Pick-Up

  1. Fees: $16–$45 per order; based on miles (distance) from our store.
  2. Items must be securely packaged
  3. Pick-up hours: Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm (subject to change due to weather, traffic, etc.).
  4. Items are picked up the next business day if unforeseen issues arise.

Delivery

  1. Fees: $18–$20 for Houston Metro area and $25 nationwide.
  2. Delivery fees are non-refundable.
  3. Deliveries require a person available to receive the item as instructed by the customer; if no one is available, re-delivery will be scheduled with an additional fee.
  4. Inaccurate delivery or payment information may delay shipping.
  5. Refeci is is not responsible for items dropped at delivery location.

Mail-In Repair Service (U.S. & International)

  1. Ship via insured, trackable methods (e.g., UPS).
  2. Irreparable or declined repairs will be returned at your expense.
  3. Refeci is not liable for lost or damaged mail-in packages.

Shipping

  1. Items are packaged internally with care before shipping.
  2. Domestic repairs ship via UPS; international repairs via UPS or DHL.
  3. Refeci is not responsible for any customs, taxes, or tariffs.
  4. Customers may request delivery with or without a required signature. However, high-value items may still require one for security.
  5. Shipping fees are non-refundable.
  6. Tracking information is emailed and typically activates within 24 hours.

Damaged Or Lost Shipments

  1. Refeci is not responsible for lost or damaged items during transit.
  2. Please contact the carrier directly to file a claim and retain all packaging for documentation.
